Jana Kramer, an actor and singer-songwriter who specializes in country-pop music as well as songwriting, gained fame on TV when she became Alex in the third and final seasons of One Tree Hill. The show showcased her first release as a country artist and helped propel her debut album on the Billboard 200 to the Top 20. Thirty One (2015), the album that followed it in 2015 also made it to the Top Ten. The decade ended with her appearances on Dancing with the Stars, TV films and non-album singles. It was released in 2021 as The self-doubting Voices. Jana Rae Kramer was born and was raised within Rochester Hills Michigan. She spent her childhood listening to music from the country genre and later went on to pursue a career in recording. But, she began her acting career as young teenager in 2002's independent horror film Dead/Undead. Guest spots on TV shows like All My Children and CSI: NY followed over the subsequent years before she was cast in the role as Noelle Davenport on NBC's Friday Night Lights in the series' second season, 2007-2008. Kramer then appeared in the role of Portia Ranson on 90210 from 2008 until 2009 and Brooke Manning in Entourage in 2009. The actress was added to the cast of CW One Tree Hill in 2009 in the role of Alex Dupre, and she continued to appear until the end of the show in 2012, about halfway through. Jana Kramer Kramer began her career as a performer on One Tree Hill in 2011. The actress signed a contract to Elektra Records during this time and dropped the country-rock single "I I Won't Let You Go" in one episode. It was featured later on the debut full-length album of Jana Kramer in the mid-2012 timeframe. The track reached into the Top Five on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart. She remained focused on her career in music following that, and not resigning from acting she appeared in films such as Heart of the Country 2013 and Country Crush 2016 that would be popular with her fan base. Kramer has released her second studio album, Thirty One together with Warner Music Nashville, in October 2015. I Got the Boy (a Top Five country single) as well as Steven Tyler's duet with Aerosmith made the album be even more successful which saw it reach the top three position at the top of the Billboard 200. In September, she spent two months on the season 23 of Dancing with the Stars, that ended in fourth place. That same year she had a huge adult contemporary hit song called Straight No Chaser's Feels like Christmas.
